Aural Night Releases Album, Signs with Peacework Music
Finnish composer, keyboard player, and pianist Aural Night, who only recently released his debut album ‘Voyage’, now signs with the American label Peacework Music.
Helsinki, Finland May 29, 2006 — Aural Night is a composer, pianist, and a keyboard player hailing from Finland. His recent debut album, Voyage, is a masterful rollercoaster ride of melodies, evocative sounds, and peaceful soundscapes. The genre is film music – a blend of Classical and New Age. Film music without the movie? That’s right.
American indie label Peacework Music (http://www.peaceworkmusic.net) has found considerable talent in this artist and has signed a non-exclusive contract with Aural Night. Peacework Music is one of the new ‘Fair Deal’ labels offering non-exclusive contracts and 50/50 profits. Peacework Music manufactures CDs on-demand so artists don’t have to send their albums in bulk. The label has worldwide distribution, covering US, Europe, and Asia, including China, with over 1 billion potential customers in China alone. Soon this album ‘Voyage’ by Aural Night will be available for purchase all over the world - a gigantic distribution effort by an independent label and a relatively unknown artist.
The album itself follows a story of a sailing vessel embarking upon a voyage. The travels of the ship take many turns and eventually there comes, as in all great stories, a tragic end. This is an imaginary soundtrack at its best.
If you find the likes of Vangelis, Jean-Michel Jarre or the most lyrical of the classical composers pleasant, then you should seriously consider adding this album to your collection. Meanwhile, let’s watch what this guy and this label do next.
