Celtic Concert to be held on June 22nd in Pebble Beach
The internationally renowned National Piping Centre, based in Glasgow, Scotland, in association with the Monterey Celtic Arts Academy (MCAA - a 501(c)3 ) is presenting the 2ND ANNUAL MONTEREY BAY SCHOOL OF PIPING & DRUMMING CELTIC CONCERT on Thursday, June 22nd from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Stevenson School located at 3152 Forest Lake Road in Pebble Beach, California. The concert will feature fabulous music and dance from Scotland and Ireland. including world-class bagpipers from Scotland performing on Great Highland Bagpipes, Irish & Small Pipes, and Tin Whistles. The Allison Barnes Academy of Irish Dancing will also perform. $15 advance tickets are available at Comerica Bank in Monterey prior to June 19th and tickets are $18 at the door. The Monterey Bay School of Piping and Drumming school will be held from Sunday, June 18th to Friday, June 23rd, 2006, and will feature some of the world’s finest piping and drumming instructors who will perform in the concert. Assisting Piping Centre’s Principal, Roddy MacLeod, with the 2006 Monterey Bay School of Piping and Drumming, is Michel d’Avenas, Pipe Major of the award-winning Monterey Bay Pipe Band. A limited number of scholarships will be available for students in the region.
