‘Cheaters®’ Expanding to Radio Airwaves’
The popular television show “Cheaters®,” which captures people in the act of infidelity, is now on the radio.
— The popular television show “Cheaters®,” which captures people in the act of infidelity, began airing on the radio in September of 2005 in Dallas, Texas.
Cheaters Radio® airs in Dallas at 12:00 a.m. Fridays on CBS owned KLLI-Free FM 105.3 and also airs on:
Chicago, WCKG, Sat. 11p
San Francisco, KIFR, Sun. 1a
San Diego, KSCF, Sat. 9p
“Cheaters®,” produced in Dallas, uses professional private investigators to help people confront their significant others in the act of cheating and then videotapes the confrontations that result.
“From the beginning of my tenure at BPG, I knew radio would be a great medium for the show,” said Peter Dirlis, Marketing Director for Bobby Goldstein Productions, which produces the show. “The stories are compelling; the heartfelt exchanges between all the parties, the cheater, the lover, and the significant other are always fascinating, not to mention the contribution host Joey Greco adds to moderating the emotional carnage. It’s very engaging.”
Cheaters Radio® uses voiceovers describing actions that appear on the TV show which the radio audience would not be privy to.
The narration will include items like, “Amazingly, instead of the cheating perpetrator owning up to his infidelity, he quickly scampers down a back alley, and is found hiding in a dumpster.”
Cheaters Radio® uses sound effects such as creaking beds, glasses breaking, and other effects to describe what television viewers would see.
The original Dallas-based “Cheaters®,” television show is in its sixth season.
