SAN DIEGO, CA August 2, 2006 — “Power of Your Love” the long awaited contemporary Christian album by Joseph Advento, featured artist of Advent Records, hits stores July 28, 2006. Joseph is the singer, songwriter, spirit and essence behind “Power of Your Love.”
This well composed album, combined with the soul-stirring musical talents of “Yoyong Nalasa” is a fusion of jazz and rock mixed in with a contemporary Christian gospel rhythm.
The “Power of Your Love” album release takes place at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 293 H Street Chula Vista, 91910 - Friday, July 28th at 6:30 pm. Performing songs from this album live for the first, Joseph has looked forward to this moment for a long time - and with performances by the “Spirit of Love” choral group and jazz saxophonist Joey Casora, this launch party promises to be an event you will never forget.
Excited about the album release, Joseph says that the goal for this project was simple, “To record songs that are inclusive and inviting to all. The spiritual message is there if you listen” says Joseph, “but I want my songs to be enjoyed by everyone.”
Having performed in several venues, Joseph has always praised God through song and music. An accomplished musician, he currently serves as the Choir Director at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Chula Vista, CA. As president and founder of One Voice Choir, a non-profit group committed to praise and worship, Joseph continues to serve his community through his time and talents. Known for his soulful voice, Joseph has shared the stage with recording artist such as Jocelyn Enriquez and Gary V.
“One Hope” an original song from “Power of Your Love” that holds a very special place in Joseph’s heart, The words and music encourages us to always believe. When asked what inspired him to write “One Hope”, Joseph replied, “When challenged by life, sometimes its easy to feel like you lose your way, you feel like you lose your voice .. But if you stop for a moment, in some simple way, he reminds us that he will always be here for us.”
“It’s the hope through his love that drives the passion through my music .. Whether through song, prayer or music, it’s about faith. And with everything he’s done for me, if I can somehow use my voice as an instrument for his love, and maybe reach those that need to know he’s there, then I’ve done my job.“
