Tickets over 50% sold out before performers announced
Nashville, TN — The Canadian Country Music Association today announced the first slate of performers for the CCMA Awards, to be held this year in Saint John, New Brunswick. Anticipation and excitement is reportedly so high, that Awards tickets are already over 50% sold without any acts previously announced.
Producers confirm that the initial acts guaranteed to rock the stage this September 11 will include Canadian country superstars George Canyon, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Corb Lund and The Road Hammers – with more to be announced in coming weeks.
The CCMA Awards show is one of Canada’s only music award shows to be seen at home on two networks, plus in the U.S. and in Australia. The show will air live on CBC TV, with encore airings on CMT in Canada. The broadcast will also be carried in the U.S. on GAC (Great American Country) and in Australia on CMC (Country Music Channel).
This is the first year fans will have exclusive access to the floor seats at the venue. A limited number of these exceptional tickets are still available for purchase in-person at Harbour Station or by phone at 506-657-1234 or toll free 1-800-267-2800. Tickets range in price from $65.00 for floor and lower bowl and $55.00 for upper bowl, including all taxes and handling costs.
The official announcement of CCMA Awards nominees for 2006 will be released August 2 during simultaneous press conferences in Saint John, NB and Toronto, ON.
