Have You Ever Fallen In Love?
Have you ever fallen in love? Well here is a chance to tell the world about it in an exciting opportunity for poets.
— Beth Morgan, editor of the Patchwork Press, is calling for all UK poets to take their hearts off their sleeves, and write a poem to celebrate that feeling that we call Love.
Beth says, “We have recently launched the Patchwork Press as an ethical poetry publisher, and we are well aware that poetry is very much linked to the deepest of human emotions. Poetry that celebrates Love has been written for centuries and it is perhaps the topic that most poets feel strongest about.” “The book to be published this year, will be called Poems of Love and in it we want people to describe that special person who sets them a-tingle and makes their heart miss a beat. Whether it is your partner of thirty years, or a love that never was we want to give poets an opportunity to share their feelings with many others.”
Poetry is invited from people of any age and the Patchwork Press is especially encouraging to new or young poets. Morgan continues, “It doesn’t matter whether you are writing a poem for the very first time or whether you have a string of books to your name, we are determined that The Patchwork Press will give everybody an equal opportunity to be included in Poems of Love and are determined to make this, and all of our books, a real pleasure to be involved with.”
The Patchwork Press web site contains further details about Poems of Love and how poets can submit their poetry for it, and other anthologies, over the coming months. Poets can also sign-up for a Free Monthly Newsletter via the site, which will keep them up-to-date with all of the latest opportunities for publication the press has to offer.

Submission Guidelines:
We would ask that people send a maximum of two poems, with these being no longer than 32 lines in length. Submissions can be sent by post to: Poems of Love (Web), The Patchwork Press, PO Box 109, Portishead, Bristol. BS20 7ZJ.
All submissions should include a Name and Address on all pages as this will make it easier for our editors to get in touch with the poet if they select the poem(s) for inclusion in the anthology.
The Patchwork Press is an independent publisher launched in Spring 2006.
