Toronto, ON May 27, 2006 — Paragonyx Entertainment in conjuction with Rogers Wireless is putting together a one-of-a-kind high school band battle where not only does the band win, but ultimately, so does the community.
This event will take place on Sunday, May 28th, from 3pm to 11pm at the El Mocambo (464 Spadina Ave.). There will be 10 bands, all under the ages of 19, competing to win $1000 for themselves and $1000 for either their school’s music department or Inner City Angels - an arts charity for disadvantaged youth.
Many all-ages battles give away prizes - mostly a few hours of recording time. What makes the Paragon All-Access Band Competition different is its substantial cash prize for both the band and for a good cause.
