Legendary Rock and Roll Photographer, Harry Goodwin, Will be Featured in an Exclusive Photographic Exhibition, Titled “Harry Goodwin, Shooting Stars.”
JULY 21, 2004 at the LANCASHIRE MUSEUM, PRESTON, U.K. The “Harry Goodwin, Shooting Stars” exhibition will display a selection of rarely viewed photographs from Harry Goodwin’s archive of prominent music and sport celebrity photographs.
Preston, United Kingdom — A six month exhibition at the Lancashire Museum, “Harry Goodwin, Shooting Stars”, will include a retrospective of Goodwin’s photograph collection featuring icons of the fabulous ROCK AND ROLL era of the 60’s and 70’s. This exhibition will be the first in a series of events to view many never-before-seen photographs. Legendary photographer Harry Goodwin captured an amazing array of rock stars in stills when he was the resident photographer at B.B.C. Television’s “TOP OF THE POPS” weekly show.
The public will be able to view selections from Harry Goodwin’s rock and roll photograph collection featuring the likes of The Stones, The Beatles, The Bee Gees, The Kinks, Herman’s Hermits, The Hollies, The Yardbirds, T. Rex, Elton John, David Bowie, Eric Clapton, The Animals, and many other notables who were part of the “British Invasion” in America. Additionally there will be American stars’ photos, such as Jimi Hendrix, Sonny & Cher, The Beach Boys, Bob Dylan, Aretha Franklin, The Supremes, Little Richard, James Brown, Tina Turner, The Everly Brothers, Simon & Garfunkel and many, many, more.
