Obsession Day to play much anticipated all-ages show at Workplay with Standard Candle to Support.
ATLANTA, GA June 14, 2006 — Coming off of a stint as the featured band on mycoke.com and an opening performance with Cowboy Mouth, Atlanta-based band, Obsession Day will be returning to Birmingham, AL. The band has been fervently touring the Southeast in support of their recently released, self-titled, debut album. Playing in venues ranging from local bars to concert halls, the band is making new friends and fans along the way. The performance has been a long wait for some Birmingham fans. On lead singer Gary Pfaff’s myspace.com page, comments were plentiful after the last show there, and several fans continue to inquire when they are coming back. The wait is almost over and the answer to that question is June 22!
ODay, as their fans have dubbed them, delivers an energetic show with pop-driven hooks and soulful, yet rocking melodies. First-timers to a show find themselves instantly hooked. Workplay allows all-ages audiences, but the under-18 crowd must be accompanied by an adult. Obsession Day will appeal to kids, parents, and hip grandparents alike, so bring them all. Opening act, Standard Candle, will take the stage at 9 pm with Obsession Day to follow.
