“Machines Don’t Cry”, the Computer animated movie, is available now on DVD.
Bel Air, MD June 29, 2006 — “Machines Don’t Cry” is an animated film from computer animator, Romel Gallamoza. It is an adaptation of Mike Resnick’s “Robots Don’t Cry”, a 2004 Hugo Award nominated short story. With the author’s permission, Romel completed the film in less than six month, thanks to the use of Dakine Wave’s VirtualStage. Drawing on inspiration from science fiction films like “Star Wars” and animated films from Pixar, Romel worked near sleepless nights on a computer inside his bedroom somewhere in Maryland to complete “Machines Don’t Cry”.
Hundreds of years into the future, two treasure hunters explore an abandoned world in the hope of finding anything with great value to feed their greedy appetites. They find a robot, Sammy, that they believe could lead them to riches. However, the treasure hunters discover that Sammy is not merely a machine. But does the information Sammy reveals lead them to greater fortune?
