Creators Media Group wins International Telly Award among largest movie studios in Hollywood.
Pleasantville, NY July 2, 2006 — Creators Media Group, Westchester’s leading full service production company, was awarded the prestigious Telly Awards of the 27th International Competition. Judges from advertising, film and production industries across the country reviewed over 13,000 nominations worldwide and selected the company’s poignant video, Everyday Heroes, as the winner in two highly competitive categories — Social Issues and Government Training.
“We are honored to have Everyday Heroes recognized and validated by the nation’s top film and video experts,” said Anthony Trama, CEO of Creators Media Group. “But more importantly, we are excited that this influential award will bring more attention to the project’s mission, which is to honor the every day heroes of today and encourage the leaders of tomorrow.”
Everyday Heroes takes a compelling look at the work of direct support professionals and the impact they have on the lives of 15 people with developmental disabilities. The 30 minute training video, produced for NY State Office of Mental Retardation & Developmental Disability (OMRDD), incorporated specific themes and values to teach and inspire direct support professionals in the industry.
It will be distributed to 1000 OMRDD agencies across NY and has already been received with rave reviews from the heroes themselves.
Creators Media Group joins a distinguished list of Telly winners, including, Walt Disney Studios, Universal Studios, Harpo Productions, E! Entertainment Television, and the Discovery Channel. The Pleasantville, New York production company was notified of their Telly honors only three days after they learned they had won top awards in two other national competitions-Videographer Awards and the Accolade Competition- as well as two local awards from the Advertising Club of Westchester.
