Cross cultural lifestyle magazine for women, touts “what’s new, what’s hot, what’s real.” The multi-faceted JEWEL magazine shines its light on November 15, 2005 as it debuts its premier issue.
— As radiant and multi-faceted as the gemstones it’s named for, the premier issue of JEWEL magazine debuts on November 15, 2005. This hot new lifestyle magazine for women of color will hit newsstands in major cities across the U.S., Canada, Europe and beyond. JEWEL is “What’s New, What’s Hot, What’s Real!”
Published by Star Media, Inc. in New York City, JEWEL has an anticipated circulation of 150,000 readers. The core audience is comprised of discriminating women who desire a magazine that offers them useful “real world” advice that complements their lifestyles. The JEWEL woman has a global perspective and is fully engaged in the world around her. In matters of life, career, family, finance, fashion, and fun, she is a trendsetter who engages in life without letting herself be defined by boundaries of ethnicity.
“We are extremely enthusiastic about the premiere of JEWEL magazine,” says Sandra Vasceannie, JEWEL’s publisher and founding editor. “Our team has worked tirelessly to produce a magazine that’s hot, fresh, and exciting. We feel that we are filling a niche that has been neglected on the newsstand for far too long. JEWEL will be a great addition to the marketplace—and readers will love it!”
The debut issue sparkles with informative, enlightening, and entertaining articles, such as our compelling cover story on actress Nia Long, our revealing interview with actor Boris Kodjoe, and our photo shoot with America’s Top Model favorite Yaya DaCosta. Every issue will also feature tips on how to become fiscally fit, how to look your best for the season, and how to stay healthy in mind, body and spirit.
Beginning November 2005, JEWEL will be published quarterly. The cover price will be $3.99, and subscriptions are available for a yearly rate of $9.95.
