Steve Wallace a Successful BMX Team Owner and Songwriter
Steve Walace a successful BMX Team Owner and a Hall Of Famer.
Anderson, IN — Wallace BMX Team owner Steve Wallace, 35, has won his 20th championship as a Team Owner. Steve used to race BMX Bicycle racing from 1984-1988 but had to retire in 88 due to a rare nerve disorder called ‘Dystonia,’ which affects his muscles and speech.
Steve won many titles as a racer like the Sportmanship Of The Year in 1984,Track champion and Most Dedicated Rider in 1985, Ranked 3rd in the State of Indiana in 1986, ranked 9th in the nation in 1987 and turned pro in early 1988 before he retired due to his worsening condition with ‘Dystonia.’ Steve loved racing he said and now owns his own team since 2003.
“I was asked by a former team mate, if I would put his nephew and his brother on my team and their two friends wanted to be on the team so I had a four member race team as I started out in 2003 Wallace said”. Then after we had some success four more racers wanted to race on my team. So now I have an 8 rider team,with a bunch of Championship titles and individual titles.
Wallace BMX team has won 3 Indiana State Titles, 3 National Team titles, 3 World Championship titles, 10 local track championship titles and are currently leading the 2006 team standings with 5 races to go. Steve has won team owner of the year 5 times.
Wallace BMX Team Members are: Bobby Robinson, 8 Expert; James Robinson, 13, Expert; Shawn Mahoney, 15, Expert; Tyler Mahoney, 14, Expert; Jared Wright, 9, Expert Jake Evans, 12, Expert; Kalis Poskie, 9, Expert; and Sonny Poskie, Pro.

Steve is also a very successful songwriter he had his song “Heidi” sung by Glenn Mayo of Nashville,TN which was released on stardust records compilation CD # 60 to radio stations Worldwide. Buster Doss produced the CD. Steve was inducted into the Traditional Country Music Hall Of Fame July 15,2006.
