Table Eight Productions presents John Patrick Shanley’s Hollywood Satire Four Dogs and a Bone
Directed by Troy Heard, this production features Aaron Oetting, Ginny Barnson, Federico Flores and Jamie Carvelli. Although Shanley is a prolific playwright, he is probably best known as the Academy Award-winning screenwriter of Moonstruck. Other highlights in his writing career include Joe Versus the Volcano and Congo. “This play is his response to the dog-eat-dog world he encountered when he left New York for Hollywood,” said Heard. “Anybody who has set foot in L.A. will easily identify these characters.”
April 24, 2006 — Four Dogs and a Bone plays Thursday, May 11, through Sunday, May 14. Performances are 8:00 p.m. each night. Tickets are $15.00 for general admission and $12.00 for seniors and students with valid I.D.
Four Dogs tells the story of a naïve playwright-cum-screenwriter, a sleazy producer, a fading starlet, and a ruthless ingénue all fighting for control of a film quickly spiraling downward.
