Talent Search Going on Now Through August 25, 2006
Performers of all ages participate annually in the celebrated Belding Labor Day Talent Show. Contestants compete for several cash prizes in 4 age divisions: Juniors 8 & under, Youth 9-12, Teens 13-17 and Adults 18 & up. Cash prizes are awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each division. Performers and spectators enjoy three entertaining days in a row with 2 Prelims and one exciting Finals Show. The Belding Labor Day Talent Show draws a huge crowd year after year and is always a highlight of the weekend festivities!
Belding, MI — Talent searching is under way for the 2006 Belding Labor Day Talent Show.
Registrations are being accepted immediately through August 25, 2006. Please call Michelle to have information mailed or emailed to you. Entry fee of $20 must accompany your registration.
Important Show Information:
There will be 2 Preliminary Rounds. First round is on Saturday, September 2nd at 5:00 p.m. Second round is on Sunday, September 3rd at 5:00 p.m. Winners from the 2 Preliminary Rounds will compete in the TALENT SHOW FINALS on Monday, September 4th at 5:00 p.m.
All rounds will take place on the Leppink’s Stage on Depot Street in Belding, Michigan. Please contact Michelle at the number below if you need directions.
Only CD’s will be accepted as backup music labeled with your name and cuing information. No cassette tapes will be accepted. We cannot be responsible for CD’s that do not function in our equipment. It is best to test out your CD on various players before bringing it to the Talent Show.
Contestants may use karaoke or background music only. Contestants will be disqualified if singing over an original artist’s voice. Backup vocals are permitted.
All performers are asked to restrict their use of inappropriate language–whether in music, lyrics or comments. The Belding Labor Day Talent Show is promoted as a family oriented show.
Acts should run no more than five (5) minutes.
All contestants must meet the age requirements for their Division as of September 2nd, 2006. Multi-age acts will be placed in the age category of the oldest performer.
Instrumental accompanists are allowed and will not be considered a competitive performer.
