Tara Platt in Indie Features, on Naruto and Anime Convention
Liza J. Sloss, publicist (Slingshot PR) for actress and voice over talent, Tara Platt, is proud to announce that Tara is set to appear in two upcoming indie feature films, on Cartoon Network’s Naruto and at Comic-Con 2006.
Hollywood, CA — Having just been seen opposite “Scrubs’” Donald Faison on the half-hour comedy series “The Playbook” on Spike TV, actress Tara Platt is once again acting on the big screen in two upcoming indie features.
I’M THROUGH WITH WHITE GIRLS, a romantic comedy by director Jenn Sharp, has Tara performing in a cameo as an alternative rock chick. This film is currently in post production.
Tara is set for filming a lead role this spring in OLA Films LOVE SICK DIARIES directed by Mike Ahuja. Platt plays a jaded yogi in this romantic drama.
When she’s not in front of the camera, Platt is no stranger to the voice over world, and is known for characters in shows such as “Marmalade Boy,” and “Ravemaster.” Tara is now featured on Cartoon Network’s highest rated show of all time “Naruto” as Temari. She also recently recorded the well-known character of Jill Valentine for an upcoming “Biohazard: Resident Evil” video game.
Platt, also no stranger to the stage, is currently a member of improv sketch comedy troupe FOE PA, which performs monthly in Hollywood at the M Bar.
She was recently seen at a Hollywood screening of Michael Carvaines’ dramatic feature TIME & TIDE, in which she is featured opposite star Chris Heltai.
Tara will be a guest at COMIC-CON 2006 in San Diego, CA July 20-23, 2006.
Located in Los Angeles, Platt’s production company, Monkey Kingdom Productions is currently in post-production on feature thriller TUMBLING AFTER which features Tara in one of the lead roles.
