“TERRA: The Nature of Our World,” is an eco-conscious video podcast brought to you by independent and student filmmakers in association with Filmmakers for Conservation. We offer major production values, compelling and controversial storytelling, and an “indy” style - all without the baggage of corporate influence, advertising, or bigwig television bureaucracy.
We currently offer 17 full-length episodes along with 30-second previews for each episode. The most recent episode, “LightHawk: Wings Over the Wild,” tells the story of the union of hot-dog pilots with grassroots activism movements.
The goal of TERRA, a non-profit organization founded in 2004, is to increase environmental awareness through the use of documentary film, and to become a community portal through which citizens of the world can engage, discuss, contribute, and participate in efforts to create a more sustainable future for our planet. The TERRA video podcast averages over 25,000 downloads per week and is regularly rated among the top 15 science podcasts by the iTunes Music Store.
