Tresa Jordan Makes a Mark in both Country and Bluegrass Music
Tresa Jordan’s debut album includes the single “I Turn to Country” which has already hit the country charts. Her second single “Ain’t No Grave” has been released to bluegrass radio.
Nashville, TN — Tresa Jordan’s debut album is causing waves in acoustic music. The first single “I Turn to Country” has already made the top country single charts within weeks of its release. The second single, and first released to bluegrass radio, “Ain’t No Grave” was just released on Prime Cuts of Bluegrass. The songs on her album are 10 true-to-life snapshots, written and co-written by Jordan. The songs will resonate with bluegrass and country music fans as it taps into universal themes of love and loss, joy and pain.
The new album includes Tresa Jordan (lead vocals and guitar); Wanda Vick on fiddle, banjo, mandolin and Dobro; Barry Bales on bass; Larry Franklin on fiddle for two songs and David Cleveland on acoustic guitar and sound engineering by Jim Cooper (also Jordan’s Manager). The Infamous Stringdusters are her guest on the cover of Kenny Loggin’s original “Danny’s Song” which has become a fan favorite.
After writing for other artists, including a number one song, she decided it was time to write and sing about the things that she’s experienced in her life, and things that matter most to her. She’s now one of the most popular acoustic acts on the internet drawing over 60,000 hits a month on her website and extremely strong presence on the myspace.com music community as well. She recently won the Country Artist of the Year award on Indieheaven.com.
Jordan has performed with Rhonda Vincent, Montgomery Gentry, and Cherryholmes, Mountain Heart and Ernie Evans & Southern Lite. Most recently she was touring with Ernie Thacker & Route 23 until Thacker’s unfortunate automobile accident earlier this year. She now has formed her own band. She has just signed with Atlanta-based, Hope River Entertainment (HRE) for booking services. HRE is scheduled to open their Nashville office this fall. The company is opening a Nashville office in the fall. For booking inquires, please call 678.377.3298. Publicity is handled by Lotos Nile Media in Nashville.
