Tricia Zigmund uses alternative lighting methods, double exposures, and motion blurs to create the isolated and surreal undertones in her photography. Recreated events and interpretations provide Zigmund with a sense of control in the midst of what she considers an unstable, entropic reality.
Zigmund is one of ASHgalleries’ 2006 resident artists. Born in eastern Pennsylvania, she was selected to represent the Congressional District of Tim Holden with an exhibition in the United States Capitol Building in 2003. Recently she has shown her work in many venues including the Museum of Contemporary Art in Washington, D.C., Erie Art Museum, and River in Toronto, Ontario. Zigmund currently resides in Manhattan.
