U.S. Restaurant Marketing Agency Closes Exclusive Contract to Produce Toys for Latin American Film
C3 has exclusive license to distribute movie figurines to Latin American food service industry and Mexico Blockbuster stores.
Kansas City, MO August 2, 2006 -– Creative Consumer Concepts (C3), the largest U.S., kids-focused brand marketing agency to the restaurant industry, recently closed its first exclusive contract to design toys for a Latin American film, Destino De Fuego (www.destinodefuego.com).
The award-winning marketing firm’s exclusive license with Alpamayo Entertainment includes design, development and production for five of the movie’s major characters: John John, Marina, Lily, Mono Piti and Vildrok.
The collectible dragon figurines and other premiums will be available in Latin American fast food restaurants, including Nicaragua, Honduras and Peru and Blockbuster video stores in Mexico.
Bob Cutler, C3 CEO, said that while the company has been extremely successful providing comprehensive marketing to U.S. Fortune 500 restaurants, he felt it was important to go global with their services. “Although this is C3’s first time producing toys for a movie release, we have been working with U.S. restaurant franchises for nearly 20-years. We felt it was critical to expand our business into the Latin American markets, where we can benefit international restaurants by developing their brand through kids’ meals and toy premiums,” explained Cutler.
As a result, C3 added an international division this year, directed by Angel Morales, who secured the contract for the marketing firm. “We are thrilled about this project and the opportunity to work with Alpamayo Entertainment, TV Azteca and the Latin American restaurant industry,” said Morales.
Destino De Fuego, which translates in English to “Fire Destiny,” is an animation film about a dragon who takes a journey to uncover his family’s past. Upon his return home, he discovers his village is destroyed and aspires to avenge the death of many, save his species and become a hero.
The movie premiere is July 26 in Lima, Peru. It will also be at theaters in Nicaragua, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Columbia, Chile, Argentina, Panama and Costa Rica. TV Azteca, Mexico’s largest television network, will debut the film in September, following a DVD release in December throughout Blockbuster stores.
